Tasmanian Young Liberals

Being a Young Liberal gives you the opportunity to meet regularly with young like-minded people.  Our meetings are usually quite laid-back and provide opportunities to discuss what we think about current issues, formulate policy, involve ourselves in community and Party events and are occasionally joined by special guests and speakers.

Our aims are to:

• promote the philosophy and ideals of Liberalism amongst the young people of Tasmania;
• enable the young people of Tasmania to take an active interest in the affairs of State and the Nation;
• ensure that the views of young people are heard by the Liberal Party of Tasmania by contributing actively to the development and formulation of the policies of the Liberal Party;
• participate in the selection of, and to work for the election of, Liberal candidates for the State and Federal Parliaments;
• provide young people with opportunities to participate in political, community, sporting and social events; and
• encourage and develop in young people qualities of leadership, service, initiative, responsibility and self-confidence.
